GSO IEC 61976:2014 Scope
This International Standard applies to gamma-ray spectra collected with hyperpure germanium
detectors (HPGe) for use in gamma-ray spectrometry, especially for low-background detectors
and measurements. This standard defines terms used to describe the background and the
background spectrum itself. This standard does not present methods that describe how to
reduce the background.
